Laura Watrous is the founder of Sunset Gatherings – Events On The Green. A rental property owner and property manager by trade, Laura has long since been fascinated by real estate, in general, and the unique character qualities each individual piece of real estate has. She has a keen eye for the “diamonds in the rough” and, when opportunity presents itself, enjoys shaping the diamond into something quite special. 108 Sunset Lane in the quaint mountain town of Burnsville North Carolina, the physical address location of Sunset Gatherings, was one such diamond.
The Beginnings Of Sunset Gatherings – “Events On The Green”
Laura discovered the property in the summer of 2008. It was love at first sight. It was obvious to her then that this beautiful piece of real estate was especially unique to anything she’d seen to date in Western North Carolina and envisioned its potential as a setting for outdoor events and special gatherings then. Three years later the stars aligned and Laura, with her husband Brett, purchased this special property and began its transformation. Today, Sunset Gatherings is a favorite Asheville, NC – Johnson City,TN event location for weddings, fund raising galas, reunions, riverside worship services, youth parties and more.
